Getting to P-Con

The Ashling Hotel is conveniently situated on many major bus routes, as well as being right beside the new LUAS light rail system "A" line, which will be operational by the time of the convention.

Not only that, the hotel is only 2 minutes walk across the River Liffey (so to speak) away from Heuston Rail Station

By Bus

Parkgate Street, site of the convention is served by a host of bus services from the City Centre during the day, including the following services :26, 51, 51D, 748, 78, 79, 90, 90A. Parkgate Street is serviced by the following routes : 25, 25A, 26, 51, 68, 69.

More information about times of buses can be found on the Dublin Bus website. If in doubt, use Parkgate Street or Heuston Station in their online search engine. Anyone who might be travelling to Dublin by rail should also note that there is a bus service that links the main railway stations and will drop you at Heuston Station.

By LUAS

We are rather pleased by the news that the multi-million euro LUAS service will be up and running on the 28th September, in time for the convention, and we are even more pleased that in their wisdom, the planning authorities have run a line right to the hotel. The line serving the Convention site has a terminus and stops in the city centre and once on the tram, you are looking for the Heuston stop. Fares are reasonable, but if you are looking for a bargain, a one-day LUAS and bus ticket only costs €6, and allows you to use Dublin Bus and LUAS services for the whole day, with the exception of the Nightlink bus services. The last LUAS leaves the City Centre around 12.30 in the morning.

By Air and Boat

There are numerous budget and other airline services to Dublin Airport and we will try to give a breakdown of the major services closer to the convention.

Something to bear in mind however is that Dublin Airport, unlike airports of other capital cities, is quite close to the city so taxi fares and public transport are affordable.
