Joining the ConventionJoining the convention is easy. Just download an application form, which you can find in the Joining P-Con section. The rates at present are €20 for full membership and €10 for supporting membership, and there are more details available in the Joining P-Con section. News about the ConventionAs well as news updates on the website, you can follow the progress of the convention by subscribing to the P-Con Newsletter, which will give you the news, both good and bad, about the convention. The VenueThe Ashling Hotel, site of the convention is an old-fashioned but well appointed hotel, conveniently situated a few minutes from the city centre. It is readily accessible by public and private transport without having to go through the city centre and, by the time of the convention, will be right beside a LUAS stop. More details on how to get to the hotel are available in the Travel section. The hotel is kindly offering special rates to anyone who will staying in the hotel during the convention, and more details are available in the Accommodation section. George Green![]() Ariel is better known to the world at large as the site editor of the highly successful online magazine The Alien Online. Steven Westcott![]() Especially imported from the Isle of Man for the convention, P-Con I veteran Steve is the author of Reluctant Heroes and has two more books in the pipeline for this year and next. George Green![]() George's first novel Hound was published last year. Working as Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Dept. of English and Creative Writing of Lancaster University, his advice to budding writers is "...to go away, fall in love, have your heart broken then come back and write about it!" James P Hogan![]() James is one of the most prolific authors in the science fiction genre, and despite being described as "firmly planted at the "hard science" end of the science-fiction spectrum", he still manages to be one of the nicest people you could meet at a convention.
