Roger Gregg was born in the USA in the late fifties,
but has been living and working in Ireland since 1979,
and became an Irish citizen in 1986. He does a lot of
work as a voiceover actor (his profile on Voicebank,
the Irish voice actors' agency, describes him as a
Resonant baritone with reassuring authority), as
well as having made occasional movie appearances, in
films like Space Truckers.
More importantly, Roger is a gifted and funny radio
dramatist, and has won a number of awards for his
work, which is performed by his own theatre company,
Crazy Dog Audio Theatre. He has produced three CDs so
far of the adventures of Bill Lizard, as well as two
collections (with a third due) of his incredibly funny
and well-observed SF parody series, Big Big Space!.
This series is all the more remarkable for having been
recorded before a live audience, sound effects and
all. Highly recommended, and available through the
Crazy Dog website.
